Ashley Shaw earned her B.A. in English from Kennesaw State University before entering law school. After earning her J.D., she worked as a Legal Editor and marketer but ultimately decided that teaching was the right path for her. At that point, she went back to KSU to get her master’s in professional writing. While there, she first acted as a teaching assistant and tutor in the campus writing center before becoming a teacher of record in freshman composition. During this time, she also acted as an English teacher at local private schools, working with high school sophomores and juniors. Now, she is pursuing her PhD in English at Georgia State and once more enjoying teaching freshman composition.
