Emily Lake Hansen is a Graduate Teaching Assistant and first-year PhD student in Poetry at Georgia State University. She received her BA from Agnes Scott College and her MFA from Georgia College & State University and has taught composition and world literature previously at both GCSU and Georgia Highlands College. She is the author of the poetry collection Home and other Duty Stations (Kelsay Books, forthcoming 2020) and the chapbook The Way the Body Had to Travel (dancing girl press, 2014). Her poetry has appeared in Atticus Review, Glass: A Journal of Poetry, Midway Journal, Rust + Moth, BARNHOUSE, and SWWIM Every Day among others. She currently serves as poetry editor for Minerva Rising Press and spends most of her free time running amok with her husband and children in Grant Park.
