Areas of Focus: Rhetorics of Technology and Culture, Literacy Studies
Jessica Rose is a Ph.D. student at GSU and teaches Freshman Compositions I and II. As a scholar, her focus is on literacies, technology, culture and composition, with an aim to engage in environments where communication and social impact intersect. Her thesis, “The Rhetoric of the iPhone: A Cultural Gateway of Our Transforming Digital Paradigm,” works to define the terms of socio-technological shifts and their unintended consequences to formal and informal literacies. Outside of her studies, interests include film, billiards, music, and museums.
